As a single mother with no support from the children’s father, Munika faced immense challenges, but her unwavering spirit and passion for art and healing guided her through.
Upon arriving in the US, Munika took on various odd jobs to provide for her family, often working tirelessly just to put food on the table. Despite the hardships, she never lost sight of her dreams. In 2014, from her small store in Destin, Florida, located in the Commons, Munika founded Deep Sea Gypsy. What started as a humble venture has since blossomed into a global brand, renowned for its spiritually crafted designer jewelry.
